A playful moon enjoys light cascading over a green glass bottle and some luscious lemons.

Project Background:

This piece started out as a Still Life in 2005, again exploring complimentary colors, but I left it unfinished. When I came back to it in 2006, I decided to have some fun with it. I added the cascading shower of golden light, and the mischievous moon. Again, there are sparkles mixed into the paint in certain places so viewing it under light produces a shimmering effect.

You can see a variation on this moon character in the upper left corner of this website. Another variation will make an appearance in a new large Acrylic on Canvas that I have planned.
