Dancing through the flames, is it a dancer or a shadow?

Project Background:

This piece grew out of several pieces of artwork, animation, and film that I have scene where ceremonial, tribal, and celebratory dance is seen looking through the filter of the fire that the dancers are encircling. The dance of people and the dance of the fire seems to become one and the same as bodies and movement, light and shadow, mix.
