Innocence stolen by the Carnival of Evil.

Project Background:

I created this piece as an entry into Renderosity.com's annual Halloween contest. The theme (which is only given two weeks before the submission deadline) was "Carnival of Evil". I recalled the delightfully chilling film adaptation of Ray Bradbury's classic "Something Wicked This Way Comes", in which a diabolical carnivale run by a supernatural group known as "The Autumn People" comes to a sleepy country town to terrorize it. The thought of innocent souls taken to become part of the macabre spectacle was the impetus behind this piece.
